Goodnight Moon

Someone has been reading my daughter Goodnight Moon. We read it sometimes, yes, but someone is reading it ALL the time because look. Memorized.

Also, the “quiet old lady” is generally delivered in the gravelly voice of a old woman from New Orleans as “an’ a quiiiiiiiiiet ole’ mahnyee whisparin’ HUSH”

Where “mahnyee” = bunny and RR = Marie Laveau.

  1. Love this! Hey, I’ve tried to comment lately and no dice…go figure. WordPress clearly dislikes me ;)

    • Joy – Sorry about that! I hope it straightens out soon. I have a similar problem with blogspot blogs so I know how frustrating that is. I hope your comment is a sign it has cleared up!

  2. Ummm, it’s because WordPress wants to link to my work blog…I’ll be figuring that out.

  3. Oh my! This is the cutest. We ready Good Night Moon every night, and Jami and I have it memorized, I can’t wait to hear Frances “read” it. Amazing!

  4. This is almost more cuteness than I can handle. We also read it every night. So far Buggie does “Moo Moo” for the cow and is toying with “Meow” but not quite there yet. Maybe I’ll show her this video to motivate her!

  5. Critter would like this video on endless loop please, so that he could watch it for hours. Tonight he picked Goodnight Moon as one of his bedtime stories, and said “Just like RR!”. Just so you know.
