Policy on Shenanigans: The only shenanigans around here are the ones my child trails in her wake (see…oh…any post). Comments are moderated but that’s not because I don’t like you, dear reader, it’s because I like to surround myself with goodness and light. Be diplomatic, be nice, and I’ll approve with abandon.
Why I use our real names: We used to use initials (and still do for our daughter). However, at this point, we’ve posted enough personal information that any intrepid amateur detective could discover who we are and where we live. So you could say I don’t want you to have to do a lot of work. But I also very much respect the point of view shared by Andrea Badgley who notes that using names helps you connect with others.
Why this blog has so many spaces: Because it’s a free wordpress blog, they occasionally (always?) stick ads at the ends of my posts. I understandably don’t dig this but it’s a fact of life. The spacing is to move them a bit further away from the content. But, if you’re reading on the main page, you might have to do a lot of scrolling. I suggest trying a feed reader (Feedly is what I’m using to read your blogs) or an ad blocker (like Ghostery)

Hey Girl – I tried to leave a comment on your last post but the comments were closed. I have a series you HAVE to read if you want a kick ass heroine to read about. Not sure if you have heard of it before because they based a movie in the 80’s on it called “Clan of the Cave Bear” Anyways, there are 5 books and they are by Jean M. Auel and they are pretty long, but it’s an awesome story. Let me know if you decide to read it, it will definately suck you in! 🙂

I just watched the movie for the first time since I was 7 or something. Definitely doesn’t follow the book 100%, but worth watching. I’m starting the series over again ,too 🙂
